FAQs

  • Our small urn was designed to hold 150ml or 9 cubic inches. Perfect if you want to keep some ashes but have other plans for the majority of the ashes. Our medium urn holds 1.5 liters or 91 cubic inches. This size is perfect for pets or if you plan to split ashes among others. Our large urn holds 3.5 liters or 215 cubic inches.

As a rule of thumb, each pound of body weight equals roughly one cubic inch of ashes after cremation.

  • All of our urns are designed and made in collaboration with Menat Studio in Mexico City. They are made of high-temperature ceramics, also known as stoneware. Fired at over 2000°F, minerals compress almost to their maximum, resulting in very resistant pieces. Each urn is guided by hand through pouring, sanding, and glazing with acute attention and care. The entire process takes 2-3 months depending on the size of the urn. The medium and large urns which are both designed as 2 stackable pieces are made in pairs. This is due to the minor variations of hand sanding and therefore each piece will perfectly fit with its’ counterpart and therefore not interchangeable between other pairs. We love how this mimics your connection with your loved one. You and your loved one have a certain “fit” and connection and is never interchangeable or replaceable.

  • All of our urns are made by Menat Studio in Mexico City and transported to our HQ in LA.

  • We currently only ship within the US.

  • A canvas bag is provided for all 3 urns should you wish to pour ashes directly into the bag and urn. If your ashes are already in a bag you can also place them directly into the urn through the provided entry point. Check out our RESOURCES page for more instructions.

  • We only accept returns if the urn comes to you broken, otherwise sales are final.
